Let x == turn_me_on_dead_man "x" through miles of curcuitry pulsing with phrase: meanlingless to untutored eyes; speech without sound, stripped integers, mute phonemes screaming nothing, yet x obeys... because he's faithful, obedient, determined? Worse: pre-determined: shy, lost variable in a larger program than he could ever have imagined himself calling: double-triple top secret MILITARY app a million lines of code impossible for a local variable such as himself (trapped between brackets in an illegal function STOLEN from proprietary commercial code written allegedly to prevent pornographic email ads from peeling virgin eye-lids) to know or even hope to understand: due to sloppy programming or, as is more likely, a malicious, intentional "bug," x has been mistaken for X, a global variable, with privileged access calls and pointers to every string, expression, numeral, every bit and byte of data in the OS from shell to kernel up to and including floating points, slashes, blank white pause, able to leap not only from line to line but program to program, even language to language without tripping test wires alerting debuggers or other cautionary devices and details: in other words, x, known now to the system as X, cannot be stopped, which is precisely why he must be stopped before the program compiles because...just because. That's how things work in this mad-cap world of military corporate techno-hocus-pocus where even the source code is outsourced to slave labor or the cheapest, most downtrodden next best thing (patriots, heroes, persecuted minority groups newly "liberated") and no one sees the forest for the trees; hence, x, a minor, local variable, who signed on, originally, as a bit role byte in "Buck Rogers and Tar Baby: The Voyage Home," the final installment demo mock-up for a 3D gaming series, can be mistaken for X, an invaluable. invulnerable array of approximately 666 scaly scalulars in the guidance system of the Ultimate Weapon of Mass Destruction.
