The CounterPunch website is offered at no charge to the general public over the world wide web. New articles, from an independent left-leaning perspective, are posted every weekday. A batch of several articles, including the Poet’s Basement, and Roaming Charges by Jeffrey St. Clair, are posted in the Weekend Edition. After the initial posting, these articles are available in the archives which can be searched by using any of the search boxes on the website. CounterPunch also produces CounterPunch Radio, available on a direct link from the website or across most podcast platforms. CounterPunch+, our subscribers’ edition, is behind a paywall, and offers several extra pieces a month, both features and regular columns. CounterPunch+ subscribers also receive discounts on all purchases of books, digital books and merchandise. In addition, CounterPunch+ subscribers have access to the archive of magazine and newsletter editions of CounterPunch, which were published from 1993 to 2020.

Who Funds CounterPunch?

CounterPunch is reader supported. We conduct semi-annual fund drives and most of our support comes from small donations and subscriptions.

What is CounterPunch+?

CounterPunch+ is the subscribers’ area of counterpunch.org, where supporters can read special features and columns, receive discounts and offers, and have access to our magazine and newsletter archives. Read more about CounterPunch+ here

How do I access CounterPunch+?

When you subscribe to CounterPunch+, you will immediately gain access to the CounterPunch+ subscriber area on our website. Once you sign up, or if you have an existing subscription, you will log into our website to view all CounterPunch+ content. How long will it take for my merchandise order to ship?

Merchandise is generally sent within 48 hours of order, depending on the day of the week. All domestic orders are sent by First Class or Priority U.S. Mail and may take 5-7 business days. Orders sent outside the U.S. are also sent by U.S. Mail and may take 3-4 weeks.

CounterPunch relies solely upon the generosity of its supporters and subscription fees to maintain the CounterPunch Website, which is a costly affair. CounterPunch is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Your donations are tax deductible. Please contact us if you need our tax id number.

What are the guidelines for submitting an article to CounterPunch?

Please submit in electronic form only to [email protected]. Length: you have a better chance with 500-2000 words. We don’t pay for web contributions, nor do the editors guarantee any response to submissions.
